Introduction
Acumatica and Arka Inventory both cover lot and serial tracking, stock availability for sales promises, and warehouse workflows, so the feature lists do not separate them. What separates them is what you buy to get inventory control. One route is a broad cloud ERP (enterprise resource planning suite, one system for finance and operations). The other is an inventory layer inside the Salesforce you already use.
The buying route differs too. Acumatica does not publish a price: it sets one from the applications you run, your business usage and your deployment option. Our Basic and Advance plan prices are on our pricing page, and for Enterprise you ask us for a quote.
Use the checks and the quote template below before you book a demo with anyone.
Key takeaways
- If you already run Salesforce and mainly need inventory control, we recommend Arka Inventory over Acumatica. Stock, commitments and costs sit next to your sales records, and our plan prices are listed.
- Acumatica prices by applications, business usage and deployment option, with unlimited users and no published figures. Get a written quote that includes implementation before you compare anything.
- In our 12-month model for five users, Basic costs $4,404 and Advance $7,860, excluding Salesforce licences. Landed cost, lot and serial tracking and sales orders are on our Enterprise plan.
- Test any option on your own data before you sign: an oversell check, a landed cost check and a written-quote check. Our 15-day trial has full access and needs no credit card.
Which Acumatica alternative suits a business that mainly needs inventory control?
We recommend Arka Inventory for a business that already runs Salesforce and mainly needs inventory control. Acumatica is a broad cloud ERP, so it answers a bigger question. If your question is "where is my stock and what can I promise?", a tool built on Salesforce, the platform your sales team already works in, answers it with less to buy. Arka Inventory is built for Salesforce teams; if accounting must be replaced in the same project, ask us how we pair with QuickBooks Online or Tally.
Why choose Arka Inventory over Acumatica for inventory control?
Choose us when five things are true of your business.
- Your sales team already works in Salesforce. We are built natively on Salesforce. Your sales users see ATP, not just what is on the shelf, across warehouses, including committed stock, incoming stock and lead times, without leaving Salesforce. Our inventory visibility guide shows the number to quote before you promise stock. Meta Power Solutions, a transformer manufacturer, uses Arka Inventory for inventory and operations management.
- You need to stop overselling. Commit Inventory lets teams commit, allocate and reallocate stock against orders based on delivery dates.
- You want landed cost in the same tool as stock. Landed cost is the true cost of a unit once freight, duties, taxes and fees are added to the purchase price. We allocate those charges to individual items, so each unit is costed at its true landed cost. Landed cost is on our Enterprise plan, priced on request.
- You want to price it before a sales call. Basic is $199 a month and Advance is $499 a month, both billed annually, as of November 2026. Extra users cost $42 a month on Basic and $52 a month on Advance, per our pricing page. Enterprise features are quoted on request. Setup guidance and onboarding support are included.
- You want to try it on your own data. We offer a 15-day free trial with full access to all features and no credit card. Typical onboarding takes a minimum of two weeks, depending on how ready your data is. We are rated 4.8 on Salesforce.
What does inventory control cost over 12 months, and how do you compare it with an Acumatica quote?
On our list prices, a five-user year costs $4,404 on Basic and $7,860 on Advance, before Salesforce licences. This is our model, using the prices on our pricing page as of November 2026:
- Basic: $199 × 12 = $2,388, plus 4 extra users × $42 × 12 = $2,016, giving $4,404.
- Advance: $499 × 12 = $5,988, plus 3 extra users × $52 × 12 = $1,872, giving $7,860.
- Enterprise: quoted individually; ask us.
Landed cost, lot and serial tracking and sales orders need the Enterprise plan, priced on request. The Basic and Advance figures cover warehouse, barcode, packing slips and (Advance) bills of materials only.
Our app runs on your Salesforce org (your company's own Salesforce account). If you already pay for Salesforce, those licences are already in your budget. If not, Starter Suite starts from $25 per user per month, billed monthly or annually, in US dollars, as of November 2026 (Salesforce pricing). Our guide to four routes to Salesforce inventory management costs the alternatives.
Acumatica quotes rather than lists a price, so a fair comparison needs a written quote. Acumatica says cost depends on three things: the applications you implement, your business usage and resources, and your deployment option. Ask for every line below to be priced:
- Licence for each application you need
- Resource or transaction tier, and what happens to the price when volume grows
- Implementation and data migration, and who delivers them
- India tax compliance (GST, goods and services tax; e-invoicing; e-way bills, the transport documents for moving goods), and who supplies it
- Support: who answers, how fast, and what is charged
- Add-ons from third-party vendors
Our Arka column fills in from the list above. The Acumatica column is whatever the quote says.
How can you test a Salesforce inventory tool against an ERP before you sign?
Run three checks on your own data. Each has a pass and a fail. Our 15-day trial has full access, so you can run the first two on Arka Inventory.
Does the system stop you overselling across two warehouses?
Take two warehouses and one product. In our illustration, warehouse A holds 100 units with 60 committed to open orders, and warehouse B holds 50 units with none committed. Pass: the system shows 40 promisable from A and 90 in total, and a sales user sees those figures where they quote. Fail: it shows only 150 on hand, or the quote screen needs a separate login. Our guide to inventory control versus inventory management explains why this number fails first.
Does landed cost allocate every import charge to each unit?
Load one real import purchase. As an illustration: 1,000 units at ₹400 each cost ₹4,00,000. Freight of ₹20,000, duty of ₹60,000 and clearing charges of ₹10,000 total ₹90,000. Landed cost per unit is (₹4,00,000 + ₹90,000) ÷ 1,000 = ₹490. Pass: the system shows ₹490 per unit, and the allocated charges across all lines sum to exactly ₹90,000. Fail: charges sit in a separate ledger or unit cost stays at ₹400. See what landed cost covers in our product.
Does the written quote cover everything on the list?
Use the six quote lines listed under "What does inventory control cost over 12 months". Pass: every line has a figure, a named delivery party and a date. Fail: any line says "to be scoped". Treat a missing price as a cost still to come.
If you are also weighing other ERPs, we compare ours with NetSuite, SAP Business One and Odoo in separate pages.
Our verdict
For a business already on Salesforce, Arka Inventory keeps stock, commitments and costs beside sales records, with plan prices from $199 a month.
