The short answer

A manufacturer that quotes in Salesforce and keeps its accounts in Tally or QuickBooks Online can add a stock, bill of materials and production layer instead of replacing everything with an ERP. For 10 users, Arka Inventory's Advance plan is $10,980 a year for the subscription alone, while one SAP partner's 10-user cloud plan is ₹9,59,988 a year including hosting, implementation and support. The two totals cover different things.

Choose Arka Inventory if

  • You want to test on your own data first, with a 15-day free trial, full access and no credit card
  • You need lot and serial tracing, which our Enterprise plan adds

Choose SAP Business One if

  • You want your accounts inside the same system as stock

Introduction

Take a factory whose sales team quotes in Salesforce and whose accounts sit in Tally or QuickBooks Online. Its daily trouble is stock: can we build this order, do the components cover it, and what can the rep promise today? A bill of materials (BOM), the list of components each product is built from, answers the first of those questions.

That factory already has an accounting system. An enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, SAP Business One included, runs accounts, purchasing, stock and production in one program, so the choice is between replacing everything and adding a stock layer. SAP Business One is sold through partners, so its price depends on the partner you ask.

We built Arka Inventory natively on Salesforce to be that stock layer. Four checks, run on your own data, show whether it fits you. The cost section lists the lines to ask any SAP partner to price.

Key takeaways

  • Add a stock, bill of materials and production layer on Salesforce when your accounts stay in Tally or QuickBooks Online, rather than replacing everything with an ERP.
  • Four checks decide the fit and the plan: where your accounts live, where sales quotes, how your products are built, and whether you trace lots or serial numbers.
  • For 10 users, our Advance plan is $10,980 a year for the subscription alone. One SAP partner's 10-user cloud plan is ₹9,59,988 a year and includes hosting, implementation and support. The two totals cover different things.
  • Arka Inventory keeps your Tally or QuickBooks Online accounts and adds stock, bills of materials and production inside Salesforce, with onboarding included and a 15-day free trial.

Which SAP Business One alternative suits a manufacturer that works in Salesforce?

For a manufacturer whose sales team quotes in Salesforce and whose accounts stay in Tally or QuickBooks Online, we recommend Arka Inventory: a Salesforce-native product that adds bills of materials (BOMs), production and kitting on our Advance plan, from $499 a month, paid yearly. The table shows the facts buyers check first.

Our prices are as of November 2026. The SAP figures are partner-quoted examples, not SAP list prices. They come from Tekroi, reviewed 15 August 2026, and SkySurge, read in November 2026. Tekroi states its figures exclude Goods and Services Tax (GST); SkySurge's page does not say whether GST is included.

Do you need a full ERP, or inventory, bill of materials and production software?

You need a full ERP only if you want your accounts in the same system as stock. Four checks on your own business confirm whether an inventory layer on Salesforce fits and which plan you need.

Where do your accounts live?

List the system that holds your general ledger (the master record of every accounting entry), payables and receivables. Pass: it is Tally or QuickBooks Online and you intend to keep it. We publish integrations with both. Fail: you want accounts inside the same system as stock.

Where do your salespeople quote?

Count the quotes and orders created last month. Pass: more than half were created in Salesforce. Fail: half or fewer. Arka Inventory is built for teams that quote in Salesforce.

How are your products built?

Write the component list for your five most-made products. Pass: every one is built from a component list, and you need component availability, consumption and cost per production run. That is the Advance plan. Fail: any of the five is not built that way or needs more than that; raise it in a demo before you commit.

Do you trace lots or serial numbers?

Check whether a customer, auditor or recall rule requires you to trace by lot, batch, expiry date or serial number. Need it: choose our Enterprise plan, which adds lot and serial tracking, sales orders, landed cost and bin tracking. Enterprise pricing is flexible, so ask us for a quote. Not needed: choose Advance.

Reading the result: pass checks 1, 2 and 3 and an inventory layer on Salesforce fits your business. Check 4 then sets the plan: Enterprise if you need tracing, Advance if not. A fail on any of the first three means the fit is not yet confirmed.

When should you choose Arka Inventory over SAP Business One?

Choose us when stock, bills of materials and production are your problem and Salesforce is where your team already works. Five facts support it:

  1. Sales sees stock where it quotes. We are built natively on Salesforce, so reps see stock across locations, items on order, lead times and raw material availability while creating opportunities, quotes and orders.
  2. Production is in the Advance plan. Bills of materials, production and kitting (combining items to sell as one kit) start at $499 a month, paid yearly, with two user licences.
  3. You will not sell stock twice.
  4. You keep your accounts system. We integrate with Tally and QuickBooks Online.
  5. You can test before you buy. We offer a 15-day free trial with full access to all features and no credit card. We have more than 30 paying B2B customers, as of November 2026, including manufacturers such as Meta Power Solutions and HCPL Hexmoto.

How do SAP Business One and Arka Inventory costs compare?

The two 10-user totals are not like for like. Our Advance plan is $10,980 a year for the subscription alone, while one SAP partner's 10-user cloud plan is ₹9,59,988 a year and includes hosting, implementation and support. Both calculations below are our arithmetic, not quotes.

  • Arka Inventory, 10 users, Advance plan (price list as of November 2026): $499 × 12 = $5,988 for two users, plus 8 extra users × $52 × 12 = $4,992. Total: $10,980 a year for the subscription. Onboarding support is included in our subscription. Add the Salesforce licences your users need.
  • SAP partner, 10 users (Tekroi, reviewed 15 August 2026; a partner quote, not an SAP list price): ₹79,999 × 12 = ₹9,59,988 a year for 2 Professional and 8 Limited users, including hosting, implementation and support. It carries a one-year minimum.
  • Exchange rate: our plans are priced in US dollars, so convert $10,980 at the day's exchange rate to compare it with a rupee quote.

Buying SAP outright costs more up front. Tekroi lists about ₹10,00,000 for the same user mix plus ₹9,50,000 for implementation, which is ₹19,50,000 in year one. Its annual maintenance contract (AMC) is then 17% of the licence, or ₹1,70,000 a year. SkySurge lists ₹29,995 a month for 5 users plus a one-time configuration fee of ₹1,99,000 on its monthly cloud plans (SkySurge).

An SAP quote has several separate lines, so ask each partner for a written figure on every one. Pass means you hold a number for each; fail means a line is bundled or missing:

  • user licences (Professional or Limited)
  • database: Microsoft SQL Server (a standard database) or SAP HANA (SAP's in-memory database, licensed by memory size per Tekroi)
  • implementation
  • AMC
  • application management services (optional day-to-day support)
  • hosting

If you already run SAP Business One and only the price or the partner is the problem, ask partners to price each line before you switch.

How do the two differ on stock promises, bills of materials and setup?

We differ most in where the stock answer appears, how production is handled and what setup involves.

Can a sales rep promise stock from inside Salesforce?

Yes, with us. Reps see on-hand stock by location, items on order, expected lead times and raw material availability. For a product with a bill of materials, we also show the maximum number of units you can build from the component stock. For the number to quote, see our guide to inventory visibility. For the wider options, see Salesforce inventory management.

What do bills of materials and production cover?

On the Advance plan you can create standard and order-based bills of materials, check material availability, track consumption and plan production. We support process and discrete manufacturing, plus assembly and disassembly. You can trace the materials used in each production batch and see cost and work in progress at each stage, as our manufacturing page describes. For buying guidance, read bill of materials software and material requirements planning.

How long does setup take?

Our typical onboarding takes a minimum of two weeks, depending on data readiness, integrations and how complex your business rules are. You provide the inventory, product, warehouse and operational data needed for configuration. We include setup guidance, configuration assistance and onboarding support. Tekroi's SAP implementation is a six-week fixed scope on standard modules and one legal entity.

Our verdict

For a manufacturer that quotes in Salesforce and keeps its accounts in Tally or QuickBooks Online, Arka Inventory adds stock, bills of materials and production without replacing your accounts system.

How we compared

We publish this comparison, and Arka Inventory is one of the two options compared. Our plans, limits, features, trial and onboarding terms come from our own price list and feature pages as of November 2026, and the SAP figures are examples from two SAP partners' own price pages, Tekroi and SkySurge. They are partner quotes, not SAP list prices, and they vary by partner, user mix and scope. The 10-user totals are our arithmetic on those published figures, and we used the same labels for both columns.

Frequently asked

For a small manufacturer that quotes in Salesforce and keeps its accounts in Tally or QuickBooks Online, we recommend Arka Inventory. It adds bills of materials, production and kitting and integrates with both accounting tools, so you do not replace your accounts system. Choose an ERP instead only if you want your accounts in the same system as stock.
SAP partners set the price, so it varies. As of November 2026, Tekroi lists ₹79,999 a month for 10 users, and SkySurge lists ₹29,995 a month for 5 users plus a one-time configuration fee of ₹1,99,000 on its monthly cloud plans. Implementation, hosting, database and annual maintenance can be separate lines. Judge expense by total first-year cost across all lines, and ask each partner for a written figure on every one.
You need an ERP only if you want your accounts in the same system as stock. If your accounts stay in Tally or QuickBooks Online and you need stock, bills of materials, production and kitting, inventory software that works in Salesforce covers that, and we integrate with both accounting tools. Arka Inventory is built for teams that quote in Salesforce.
Yes. We publish integrations with Salesforce, QuickBooks Online and Tally, so your accounts can stay where they are while stock, bills of materials and production run in Arka Inventory. Our guide to Tally inventory management shows a stock health check to run before you connect the two systems.
Odoo is a broader, modular ERP, while Arka Inventory focuses on inventory and operations within Salesforce. If Salesforce is where your team works and stock and production are the gap, Arka Inventory is the closer fit. We offer bills of materials, production and kitting on our Advance plan, with a 15-day free trial and no credit card. Our Odoo comparison sets the two side by side.
